Pros

The location is nice, close to a lot of shops and plenty of places to eat.

Cons

Where to begin. When others say this place is a bit "clique like", it's not a joke. So if you never want to graduate from high school, this is the place for you. There is most definitely favouritism,a lack of training and a high turnover rate. There is certainly no work-life balance but even if you work hard, don't expect much in return. Pretty low salaries unless you're a favourite. The concept of genuineness seems to be lost on a lot of people there, who somehow occupied managerial positions. Leaving was a great decision, to say the least.

Pros

Surrounded by smart, fun, hard-working people who take great pride in what they do. Lots of dogs. Good parties. Perfect location. The usual perks of working in a hip downtown agency, in other words. Getting to work on so many big national brands is an uncommon opportunity in this country. And the high success rate on new business pitches is incredible for morale and unparalleled in the industry.

Cons

Constantly adding more and more business is cool (fun to be on a "winning" team), but only so long as the accounts are properly resourced, which never happened. Being asked to do more with less is one thing; when it's presented as "We're all in this together!" by wealthy people with expensive cars and cottages? Leaves a really bad taste. And to say that the place is cliquey is a huge understatement. A team who had left the agency under stressful circumstances were openly ridiculed at a departmental offsite. There's a thread of mean-spiritedness that belies the agency's brand of nice-people-doing-great-work ,though Arthur, the CEO, and Jane, the MD, are genuinely wonderful people. Some of the cool kids in high school are super nice and charismatic, and some are bullies that people are afraid of. This place could use more of the former and fewer of the latter.

Pros

- lovely junior to mid level teams who are smart and dedicated - opportunity to work on big name clients - central location - amazing design team (totally different culture and vibe to the rest of the agency) - good holiday and benefits - HR very supportive

Cons

- unsupportive management - have no interest in emotionally or professionally supporting you - zero mentorship - no work life balance - it’s a sweat shop and there is no appreciation for working crazy hours- it’s expected - crazy deadlines, don’t respect that good work takes time - overwhelming anxiety filled environment, I know at least 5 people who went off work sick for extended periods because they were too exhausted and overworked, and people cried on the regular
