Pros

I can't think of anything really good to say about Mblox.

Cons

1. They openly discriminate against older workers. 2. You have no personal time or work life balance at all. 3. The individuals and groups work against each other. 4. There are no professional managers there, they all have their own personal agendas.

Pros

Mblox acquired the small start-up company I worked at in mid-2014. I felt support from the executive team for our product and go-to-market strategy and embraced by the Mblox sales team, who made concerted effort to quickly become knowledgeable on our product offering, reach out to potential customers and drive sales. I appreciated their flexible telecommuting policy.

Cons

Although our original team of developers worked independently from the rest of the organization, there were times when we needed support from the Mblox engineering and developer teams. Getting their attention was often difficult. However, I believe that was primarily due to those teams being extremely busy on a large and complicated top-priority initiative. Multiple locations in different time zones and countries made communication and coordination difficult at times. I definitely had the sense that Mblox was coming out of a difficult period, from the previous year or two before I joined, when many employees left and the headquarters moved from Silicon Valley to Atlanta. Roles and communication were not as organized as they should be, but I saw substantial progress during my time at the company and left feeling like things were moving in a positive direction.

Pros

This place can give you great experience in multiple fields if you don't get laid off first that is. The experience you gain will not be to grow at this company but so you can go to a different company and get paid way more then mBlox pays you. Oh and the people. they are a big pro.

Cons

So many secrets and lies at this place. All of the good people and talent have left the company or got laid off. Who is running it now are people who do not care about quality work, following the guidelines, or making sure the clients abide by the rules. They just want the $$$ even if it will cause more work or issues in the future. The mangers do not communicate with their staff and in some instances the manager doesn't even help the team or know what some functions do. The Atlanta move is a great big joke. They are loosing money to make the move. They tried to lie and stretch it out so the employees wouldn't start looking for a stable job. The new CEO is just going to drain the company dry and move on. They lay off people because they need to save money but then finance sees big bills for dinners, hotels, and his rent. I do not expect the company to be around much longer.
