Pros

Medchart is a very supportive place to work, especially if you’re building early-career experience in a tech startup. The culture is one of the biggest strengths. Mistakes are treated as learning opportunities. Managers are patient, collaborative, and genuinely invested in helping people grow. You gain marketable experience working with medical data in fast-moving tech operations/highly regulated industry. It’s a great environment to develop practical skills, take initiative, and build confidence. Since the workplace is remote, putting yourself out there makes a big difference. Turning your camera on, connecting with coworkers, joining socials, and being proactive makes collaboration smoother and opens more opportunities. Supportive colleagues and management Mission-driven work that helps real people like legal clients and patients Great place to gain experience in tech and operations Great work/life balance and conveniences of working remotely

Cons

If you prefer strict guidelines and structure, be prepared for ambiguity and changes. Great place for people who welcome change.

Pros

I appreciated the opportunities to learn and contribute. Approachable team and leaders.

Cons

Lack of clear communication regarding job security. Employees were sometimes notified of termination very suddenly, with little explanation or notice. This created a work environment where many felt uncertain about their position and anxious about the future. I believe the company could greatly improve by providing better transparency, clearer performance expectations, and more structured offboarding processes.

Pros

I work on the SettLiT side of the business. Over my time here, I’ve learned that there are always two sides to every story. Often you don’t know the full context behind decisions or changes, which has taught me to keep an open mind and focus on the bigger picture. Pros: Impactful product: SettLiT is genuinely helping law firms and clients streamline complex mass tort and personal injury processes. A lot of the work feels like fighting for the underdog - helping individuals who truly need it, and communities who might not otherwise have the resources to navigate the legal system. Seeing those wins firsthand is deeply rewarding. Supportive culture: You aren’t micromanaged here, which means you have the freedom to drive home your own ideas. That autonomy is empowering, but it also comes with risk ... if it’s your idea, you own both the wins and the missteps. Opportunities for growth: As the SettLiT product line is still scaling, there’s a lot of room to take initiative and shape processes. I’ve been able to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, finance, senior leadership and operations, which has expanded my skill set. Flexibility: Leadership understands the need for work-life balance and offers remote work options and flexible hours when needed. Leadership accessibility: Everyone is open to jumping on a call for anything - personal, work related - there is no "I'm too high up for that"

Cons

Fast-paced environment: The constant product iterations can feel overwhelming if you’re not used to change, as priorities shift quickly. Growing pains: Some internal processes are still being built out, so there can be ambiguity in how things get done. Niche product learning curve: SettLiT serves a highly specific legal niche, so it takes time to understand the industry language and workflows.
