There are many very nice people, working arrangements are quite flexible, you get an urban sports club membership, the coffee is great.
Cons
Mitte is really struggling to keep a (steady) course that makes sense holistically and generates at least learnings that can be used. On people side: People are not really listened to, for many the workload is way to high without fair compensation, some people are even struggling on a mental level because some of the leaders are incapable of providing well defined goals but rather micro manage which stresses people out and creates an unhealthy environment. On product side: Mitte wants to be a user centred company and puts that very statement out over and over again. But then acts completely in a different way and seems to be pushing products or ideas that completely don't make sense, are based on pure assumptions and not backed by asking any user. Even worse: abandones these ideas right before they are fully developed. Which of course causes demotivation of the teams and creates a lot of waste (time, money, effort). There are endless meetings discussing things over and over again that have no outcome but rather create more and more doubt and uncertainty. On tech side: there seems little to no understanding on the current tech stack in the leadership team. Feedback from the tech teams is either not taken into account or just ignored. There is a lack of a methodological approach on how to develop products in a modern and efficient setup. There is always a tendency for scope creep and shifting focus at the tiniest distraction. On organisation side: many processes are put into place but then not followed through. It feels like doing things just for the sake of doing thing. In total it sometimes feels super unprofessional which is causing stress on all ends and leads to a super inefficient setup.
