Pros
Coworkers are top-notch people. Interesting technology in the pulmonary care space, which is really interesting. Pay is pretty good. Benefits are about average.
Cons
The environment is toxic. As an example, we were in one of our usual staff meetings. Our CEO crashed it just as we were about to escape. Pulled his ambush questions out, which he does regularly. A coworker, who hadn't been with the company very long, didn't understand what he was asking and started to say that but didn't get to finish. The CEO completely flipped out, nearly apoplectic. Started screaming and swearing at her, threatened to fire her, then he tore into one of the other guys who has been there for nearly 10 years. Basically told us that our jobs are something he could do in his sleep and that we're just a bunch of country clubbers, lying about how long something takes and berating us because we don't understand every nuance of the business and can't diagnose patients. He even went on to say that he's better at diagnosing patients than 80% of the pulmonary physicians he knows. BTW, he’s not an MD. I think there's something clinically wrong with him, like bad enough to be referred to a psych ward.
