Great Place to Have a "Job"....

Pros

There is a good mixture of experience and youth in most departments. Pay is fair. Because of depth and size of staffing, work hours tend to be flexible.

Cons

Organizational structure (hierarchy) is flat. Leadership (read: ownership) is autocratic, offering few opportunities to lead among its staff. Ownership does not seek genuine feedback from staff in the planning process, making them accountable on the back end of tasks but not the front end. Ownership often talks a good game, but rarely delivers as promised. I have heard many cases of, and directly experienced, ownership treating their employees with a lack of respect. This has contributed to a mass exodus in experienced personnel over the last five years.

Pros

They pay well for a job in this particular field. No micro management. You can make a lot of money, but only if you're willing to work a lot of overtime.

Cons

No structure to have an actual career here. The only management positions are ownership of the company. Raises only seem to exist for the first year. Cross training may lead to you getting a better job elsewhere, but won't increase your pay rate. Not sensitive to people of minorities, women, other religions, etc. (Although they probably believe they are)

Some good co-workers.

Cons

Management shows lack of respect for employees and extreme nepotism. Low pay with lots of overtime expected. Be wary of mixed signals given by employees/management.
