As a Developer I am not only earning but learning as well. The seniors are respectful and always ready to help when I face challenges. Also, payment is on time, which I greatly appreciate.

Pros

As a developer, the primary appeal of payever lies in its modern tech stack (Angular, Node.js, etc.) and the opportunity to work on a complex, high-traffic commerce platform. The environment is fast-paced and truly international, offering exposure to global markets and diverse payment integrations. For those who enjoy a "trial by fire" startup atmosphere, the level of responsibility given early on can be a significant learning curve.

Cons

The work-life balance is my biggest concern, as the culture is "always-on" and frequently demands 10+ hour days to meet aggressive deadlines. I found the onboarding to be minimal, leaving me to navigate a complex codebase with almost no documentation or support. Additionally, the compensation feels low for the high level of seniority required, especially within a high-turnover, freelancer-heavy model where you feel easily replaceable.

Pros

I’ve truly enjoyed my time at payever. The tech stack is modern and exciting, giving me a chance to work with tools like TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes and more. The team is supportive and collaborative, and everyone is eager to share knowledge — it’s a culture where learning is encouraged every day. As a developer I was given real ownership of features, not just trivial tasks, which made me feel trusted and empowered. Management listens to feedback, and remote work flexibility means I’m able to balance focused coding with the rest of my life. I also appreciate the emphasis on quality, scalability, and thoughtful technical discussions during planning. Overall this has been a fulfilling place to grow my engineering career.

Cons

Deadlines can be fast-paced sometimes, but that’s part of the challenge and growth here — and it’s balanced with understanding leadership.
