Pros

Pay is competitive Individual team members are good Beer Fridays Lunch every other week

Cons

No leadership No CEO No planning Last minute major changes with no thought to long term implications No product knowledge No idea how to manage resources All responsibility is pushed from top to bottom until bottom ends up doing 12+hr shifts for weeks to get stuff done while top applauds themselves for a job well done Majority of people are not interested in trying to learn how things work, instead they do stuff assuming things work a certain way and are shocked when it doesn't and still expect things to get done tomorrow They call hackers "researchers" to avoid the stigma Stakeholders think that documenting what their new feature is supposed to do is duplication of work and not their job because the details are somewhat loosely strung together in Jira comments, verbal meetings and emails on the side so creating and maintaining an internal product manual is a waste of time. HR exists to hire and fire and protect the leadership; if you have a problem with the leadership team is seems to fall on deaf ears and your made to seem like your feels are not valid, they will however do their job properly if complaints are among the commoners and don't reflect poorly on the management

Pros

Smart and hard working coworkers that are always willing to help. There's potential for new senior leadership to take the company in a positive direction.

Cons

Lack of direction or communication from management. Priorities change daily. Lots of micro-managing as a consequence and things take longer than they should.
