Pros

I have been with Scandiweb for almost 4 years now, and the inclusivity, support and recognition within it is unmatched. Unlike many companies that claim that you are family and use it to justify overtime or toxic culture, Scandiweb makes you feel like family, while providing all the benefits and respect that come with great leadership.

Remote first culture can be a learning curve for some

Pros

- company events - friendly teamates (but often can't help because everyone is overworked) - good mentors

Cons

- low salary - overworked - cringy "overachiever" mentality, basicly walmart Jack Ma - hard to move up unless willing to do more than working 8 hours/day - They dont pay full taxes for you so you lose social securities, this makes low salary even worse. - there are some truly horrible legacy projects - many projects have mostly juniors working on them.

Lack of support during onboarding

Onboarding: No mentor, no support. You are just given a platform where you have to study one by one, no person whom you can ask, no daily/weekly meets with training lead/mentor, you are onboarding on your own. Firing: I was fired by having a meet with HR, who didn't know any details, just you don't meet company's expectations. When I was told that I had been fired I wrote to manger, she wrote me that I work in a slow pace with bad quality. I didn't have ANY meet/feedback from managers about my work. It doesn’t fit in my head how you can be fired in the third week, working and completing all the tasks that you need to do.

While we're sorry to hear about your negative experience with us, we appreciate your feedback! scandiweb onboarding routine includes completing tasks in the education platform - scandiweb Academy. Completing tasks on this platform is crucial for any candidate’s education period before becoming a company-integrated employee and joining projects. If anyone fails to complete scandiweb Academy tasks, it reveals to both parties that this employment agreement is not a fit. These cases happen. Regarding not receiving any support, that is not true. Multiple channels and opportunities for support and progress review are accessible to all new colleagues. Our Onboarding Team acts on Project Leader feedback and by reviewing onboarding progress. If the new colleague does not understand how to use all the support channels and give feedback daily to work on self-improvement, unfortunately, to our dynamics it does not satisfy our work requirements. In these cases, we respectfully communicate issues and part ways by paying out the completed employment period. Kind regards, scandiweb HR
