Pros
apparently you get free monthly services? they never told me that, though lol
Cons
Terribly disorganized. The CEO is heavily involved in every aspect of the company, from scheduling at the studios to directing the marketing team, which creates a lot of chaos internally. There is very little friendliness and collaboration within the team due to the culture the CEO has created. Everyone is overworked, no one has any clear direction because the CEO insists on leading everything (and unfortunately she has no idea what she's doing and just asks ChatGPT for advice all day). The CEO's feedback is also very often rude and condescending. Even if you have followed her (often very unclear and nonsensical) directions, your work will still be inadequate in her eyes because she will suddenly change her mind on what she wanted from you to begin with. Plainly, this is nothing more than a vanity project for the CEO. She does not truly care about nails and wellness (she said as much about the former during my last day of work.) All she wants is to be regarded as a wellness guru and thought leader despite having nothing of substance to offer the world. The very structure of her company contradicts the brand's "wellness" ethos (and never mind the toxic ingredients in her "non-toxic" products). Where you would expect work-life balance and a welcoming, collaborative team, you find: a 9-5:30 workday, slack notifications outside of working hours and on weekends, a mere 10 days PTO, a tense office environment, below-average pay, and a team full of overworked interns. You are expected to arrive early and stay late, and will receive disappointed glares if you dare leave at your scheduled time. Meanwhile, you will almost never see the CEO in the office before 10 AM. Avoid this place like the plague. I would be surprised if they last another year unless major changes are made.
