22% positive business outlook
Pros
Good exposure to the basics.
Cons
Lack of career development planning No training Poor work load and relatively low wages
Pros
- There are no Pros.
Cons
- Low pay - Extremely busy - You are going to get lots of "Thank you" s, but no money. - No training at all. You just have to Google every day.
Pros
Small and close-knit working environment; on-the-job training and hands-on experience working with clients
Cons
Little opportunity for growth, especially for women; no formalized training and low accountability; salary and benefits are inadequate compensation
Pros
I could not think of any pros.
Cons
I worked full-time for more than 3 years. - very low wage, even lower than contract (received 34K, Contract said 42K) - long working hours, need to carry a pager for phone inquires from customers, midnight work - very stressful and busy environment, experienced power harassment - no job training at all, need to learn by looking at your boss and google all day long - no career plan in the company. - frequent turn over, people just leave
Pros
* 8 Hour Work Day * Opportunity to Work with Multiple Companies * Relatively Forgiving Environment
Cons
* No Formal Training Program or Universal Guideline for Tech Support to Follow * Not the Most Efficient, Up to Date, or Kosher Technical Practices * Disconnect with Upper Management vs Tech Support. Only interactions with them a lot of times are when they want to micromanage in an unhelpful way. * Mediocre Wage. Upper Managers will low ball you and pretend like the company doesn't have money and give you a $1/hr raise when they make 6 figures themselves.
Pros
not that i can think of.
Cons
zero training, no training manuals, no respect from management, no pay holiday for engineer, negative comments you hear from management or your own boss, no trust with management, blame management mistakes to non management employees, turn over is less than 6 months and HR issues involve labor office.
Pros
For starters, syscom is a great place to learn. This is a place where you should only stay 2-3 years. Learn what you can and then leave. You will have hands on experience with all sorts of equipment. They will provide a really good opportunity for entry level IT. Other engineers are usually friendly and easy to talk to. If you are out of college and need a quick job then this is the place to start. Most staff are out of college and fresh. If you don't mind long hours and want to learn for low salary then this is the place.
Cons
All the negative comments that you see is most likely the truth. The truth is that this place will provide limited training. Things will just be dumped on you and you will need to learn everything on your own and from Google. But it is a very good opportunity. Projects and tasks are constantly just thrown at you and it is never ending. You usually wont have much time to even learn and just need to deploy and deploy. Everything is ASAP and last minute. Sales are constantly pushing. Customers are constantly calling and tons of requests. There is always a shortage of staff and engineers are constantly leaving after 1 year. The work load never ends. There is no work life balance. You will need to work late every week, constantly OT and weekend work. They do not value their staff. Everyone is treated like a slave. Insurance benefits are terrible, huge deductible. There wont be much room for growth since the people in management always remains the same.
Pros
- Get skills to solve problems
Cons
- Low wage - Always Extremely Busy - No work life balance - High stress work environment - No training. - Midnight work
Pros

Cons
- very low wage, even lower than contract before tax, insurance and 401K (received $15 per a hour and 34K per annual with overtime, Contract mentioned 42K) - long working hours, especially for engineers, midnight work by shift - very stressful and busy environment, experienced Power Harassment - no job training at all, need to learn by looking at your boss and google all day long - no career plan and path to improve your position within the company - frequent turn over, people just leave after 3 to 5 years
