      Growth opportunities, mission driven work, good team environment, supportive teammates and an organization that is open to feedback

      Cons

      Helping students navigate higher education takes a lot of patience and resilience. Changes to the job market and higher education landscape in addition to individual student changes can make the work challenging.

      - I loved assisting high school seniors and their families with the scholarship and college application process - Got to build relationships within the community outside of tnAchieves and KCS - Absolutely fantastic coaches surrounding and supporting you on both the Access and COMPLETE teams

      Cons

      - Long hours, low pay, lots of travel - Performative equity and inclusion culture led by senior leadership - Retaliation for bringing concerns about anything/anyone to your supervisor or their supervisor - Insensitive team building activities - Uninformed goals for underrepresented student populations - No desire to truly connect with the community to improve student success
