Pros

The absence of bonuses in this compensation structure is actually advantageous, particularly during challenging times. Despite the absence of additional monetary incentives, employees can find solace in the fact that their base salary remains consistent, providing a stable income even when facing economic difficulties or uncertainties.

Cons

I've been part of this organization for a significant period, and by and large, my experience has been positive. However, a turning point occurred last year when the majority owner of the company took on the role of CEO. Regrettably, his decisions have had severe repercussions for the company itself. Among his actions was the dismissal of the entire management team, replaced by individuals who align with his views. The company's atmosphere has shifted to one dominated by a culture of fear, with the CEO seemingly proud of these changes, evident from his statements during monthly meetings. The once vibrant culture, characterized by knowledge-sharing and enjoyable activities, has morphed into a monotonous environment where such sharing is practically nonexistent. Previously, I wholeheartedly recommended this company to my friends, citing its positive culture as a key factor, even though the pay wasn't as high as some other companies. However, given the current state of affairs, I find myself compelled to look for a new job. The unique culture that made this company stand out has been lost, and it's no longer a place I can endorse.

Thank you for sharing your reflections as well as your concerns. We are saddened to hear your perspective, personal experience and removal of endorsement. It’s important to us to touch upon your key concerns and will do so, but we would like to reflect on a few concerning claims you included regarding our leaders. Our leadership team is a strong group of capable, experienced and unique individuals that are indeed aligned, however, they are aligned on one important thing – our vision & mission. That said, they are different in their strengths, opinions and focuses for how we get there. This is not only encouraged by our CEO, he expects it in order for us to be successful and live up to our aim to always put people & their growth first. With this said, your reflections on culture as a whole are definitely top of mind (and action) for us, actively monitored and continuously worked on. However, this takes time, so we need and plan to boost our energy here with initiatives in 2024. Including a focus of company efforts around internal communication and diving into our culture to strengthen it together (as culture isn’t something contrived). This is particularly important when it comes to any feelings of fear – we want and strive to be a place of open and constructive dialogue from which we must grow. And while we appreciate that this is an anonymous sharing platform, we always would appreciate the ability to continue the conversation should you be open to it – to continue in our growth as a company. If so, please reach out to either your manager or another local leader that you feel comfortable with who can surface further concerns. Thank you again for your reflections and for your valued 8-10 years that you have shared with us thus far, spreading knowledge and supporting our mission and we hope the changes we continue to make will reflect positively on your experience and change your perspective on the culture for today and for tomorrow. -tretton37

Pros

The company is punctual with its salary disbursements. Employees are provided with health benefits, and the pace of work with clients is comfortably manageable. The office environment is serene, complemented by top-notch equipment in some offices while some require improvement. Additionally, the engineering teams boasts some highly intelligent individuals who are a pleasure to collaborate with.

Cons

The company is navigating through a period of significant change. There have been decisions made that were later reversed, suggesting a need for more in-depth consideration. It's noticeable that some roles, even key ones, see frequent changes in personnel, and more worrying very soon after starting the positiion. The senior leadership appears to be in a phase of recalibration, and I believe there's room for more decisive and consistent decision-making with a change in top personnel. I have fond memories of when the company stood as a beacon for its culture and brand. The company was lead by a great leadership team with a lot of trust and allies within us in the operations. It's concerning to see some of our most valued colleagues were terminated and had to move on or move on due to the to shifts in the work environment and deteriorating trust and culture. The brand and the reasons many of us joined has devolved to a deteriorated version of its former greatness. While financial goals are essential, I hope we can also keep our focus on the company's original values and culture. Questionable investment "opportunities" in the company should be avoided until the company finds a firmer footing. Transparency was once a strong suit of our company. It would be beneficial for the leadership to re-establish that trust and maintain open lines of communication. The recent branding decisions have raised eyebrows among many colleagues. It's essential for teams, like the unexperienced marketing, to be receptive to feedback, especially from those who've been with the company for a long time. A mistrust in the leadership, particularly the CEO and all C-level members is a common theme on the hallways. While the CEO demonstrates a strong desire for control, his decisions often lack the foresight expected of a leader at their level. Despite the CEO's tenure, there's a palpable sense of directionlessness in his leadership, suggesting a disconnect from the company's core objectives. Our emphasis on knowledge-sharing was a significant draw for many. The events and conferences we once held were a testament to that commitment. I hope the company can provide clarity on its future direction in this area. While there's a promise of working with top-tier clients on challenging projects, the reality sometimes feels different. It's essential for potential and current employees to align their expectations with the company's direction. After my 4 year tenure, I've decided it's time for a new chapter. The recent internal conference didn't quite meet the standards of previous years. Such feedback is shared with the hope of improvement in future endeavours. Learn from the past, replicate what works and you don't need to overspend to get the small things right. The feeling of this conference was reminiscent of a poor house, making appearances just before the house collapses on itself. A lot of us are under stress and fear many times, leaving us to resort to anonymity and writing tools to cover our identity while leaving reviews or posting feedback. For those looking for a position with an easy workload and decent pay this company might be a fit. However, if you're seeking more dynamic challenges and growth, it is worth exploring other avenues.

Thank you for taking the time to share your reflections as well as your concerns. We appreciate the opportunity to hear your perspective and give us a chance to address these concerns in the company. We have certainly been in a period of recalibration and we note your highlight of the need for more decisiveness, consistency and direction. This has been heard and read by our top management to take under their wing in addition to your perspective on bridging trust with our leaders. At the same time, our leadership team is strong, capable, experienced and diverse with a central aim to provide, care for and grow our colleagues and company. But bridging this gap of alignment between all colleagues and leadership is crucial and as you mention, important. When it comes to your reflections on the overall trust and culture, this is definitely of top concern for us and something being monitored and worked on to build/strengthen. However, this takes time, so we need and plan to continue our energy here with initiatives in 2024 such as a focus of company efforts around internal communication and diving into our culture to strengthen it together (as culture isn’t something contrived). This is particularly critical when it comes to any feelings of fear and stress – we want to be a place of open and constructive dialogue from which we must grow. Respect for our fellow colleagues is essential. Our Marketing has done incredible work in 2023 and have been crucial in our positive progress as a company. Yes, teams should always be open to constructive feedback as we pride ourselves on being a company that encourages sharing knowledge and learning from one another. However, we also must respect both the individuals and the areas of expertise. This is not something that comes with time at a company, but time with your field. We strive to be the best at what we do whilst honouring the resources and capacity we have at hand. Your additional reflections are taken in stride and we certainly won’t turn a blind eye to improving the quality of all the things we do. So while we appreciate that this is an anonymous sharing platform, we always would appreciate the ability to continue the conversation should you be open to it – this is how we grow & learn. If so, please reach out to either your manager or another local leader that you feel comfortable with who can surface further concerns. Thank you again for your reflections and for your 3-4 years that you have shared with us thus far, spreading knowledge and supporting our mission. We hope you see the positive impact of our continued actions to positively impact your experience and perspective. -tretton37

Pros

People & culture. It really shows how much effort is put in choosing the people with great character, talent and skills when hiring. Paycheck & benefits are great.

Cons

Ever since beginning of this year when the reorganizational changes took place, it feels like everything that made tretton37 the best place to work at is gone. Some of the most talented people were either laid off or demoted while people who were already struggling at their roles were promoted due to “political” reasons. Vision & mission and values used to mean something, now they feel like empty buzzwords to throw around linkedin. There is a lot of talk about “transparency”, but in reality things are anything but transparent.

Thank you for your feedback and your reflection. We are sorry to hear that you feel this way. The global as well as regional leadership in Ljubljana is doing everything we can to make the transition into the new organisation easier. A reorganisation is never simple and it comes with a lot of challenging changes. We also believe that the appointed people are more than capable and each person that works with us, either in leadership or not, is a person that we believe in. And we will continue to provide them with the knowledge and tools they need to excel in their roles. Change is very hard. But we do believe that together, we can continue doing the things we are proudest of: taking care of you, our people, and providing them and you with knowledge and support.
