Today is National Automotive Professionals Day! We dedicate this observance to our ground mechanics, technicians and AMR Nextfleet crews. Thank you for keeping our ambulances operational and efficient!
Kudos to our American Medical Response Rochester, NY team members for the life-saving care they provide each day, resulting in 36 cardiac arrest saves in 2024 alone. We are proud of our dedicated teams and healthcare partners, who are changing lives and shaping the future of cardiac care. #OneTeam
Today marks the beginning of one of our favorite weeks of the year, National EMS Week! At GMR, we are proud to recognize all of our dedicated emergency medical service professionals across the country. We’ll be featuring a select few, whose outstanding stories exemplify what they—and all EMS professionals—do... Meet Emily, a graduate of AMR’s Earn While You Learn (EWYL) program. “When I was told about EWYL from a friend that had participated, I thought it was a great opportunity for the community to have access to a career in a more accessible fashion.” Now, the one thing Emily takes away from her work is the trust that’s built showing patients we care and that their concerns are heard. On this EMS Education Day during EMS Week, we celebrate paramedics like Emily who pursue EMS education, and advocate for patient health and safety. To find out how you can join EWYL, visit https://careers.gmr.net/earn-while-you-learn
Meet AMR Paramedic Gene Hansen, an honored Veteran and SkillBridge graduate, continuing his legacy of service by making a lasting impact in the communities he serves. Thank you for your service, Gene!
The nurses at GMR are amazing! During National Nurses Week, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to the incredible nurses who dedicate their lives to caring for others. We are inspired daily by your compassion, resilience and selflessness. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to the communities we serve.
May is Military Appreciation Month, and we’re proud to honor the service and continued impact of our nation’s heroes. As an authorized provider of the Department of Defense (DOD) SkillBridge Program, GMR offers active U.S. Military Service Members the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in roles such as EMTs, pilots, paramedics and mechanics during their final six months of active duty. This month, we're celebrating our remarkable SkillBridge graduates – Veterans who’ve carried their dedication, discipline and leadership to GMR's mission of providing care in any crisis. Stay tuned as we share their stories and celebrate their continued service in a new uniform. Graduates, welcome to the GMR family!
We are proud to partner with Yakima County in launching the 911 Nurse Navigation Program. This initiative marks a significant advancement in how emergency services are delivered, helping connect residents with the most appropriate care when they need it most. We look forward to the meaningful and lasting benefits this program will bring to the Yakima community. “The launch of the Countywide Nurse Navigation Service ensures that residents have access to expert guidance when they need it most at the same time helping to offset some of the call volume our first responders assist in that may not be life threatening,” said Yakima County Commissioner Kyle Curtis. #Yakima911NurseNavigation #OneTeam
This National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, we’re celebrating the incredible professionals behind the scenes who ensure help arrives when it’s needed most. Meet Artis Walker, a dedicated communications assistant supervisor at Lifecomm Dispatch in Birmingham, Alabama. With more than four years of experience at Lifeguard Ambulance Service, a GMR solution, Artis plays a crucial role in coordinating emergency responses – day and night. For Artis, helping others is in his DNA. He thrives in the fast-paced, ever-changing world of EMS, where no two days or calls are the same. He enjoys having a sense of purpose, which is the leading force that motivates him in the work he does as an emergency medical dispatcher. For those considering a career in public safety telecommunications, Artis offers this advice: “This is one the most rewarding career opportunities. Go in with an open mind and be ready to work as part of a team, because every day we go in, we rely on each other.”
This Stress Awareness Month, we want to remind our GMR family that your well-being matters. Through our GMR Life program, we’re committed to providing the education, resources and support you need to navigate stress, build resilience and take care of yourself and your loved ones. If you or someone you know is feeling overwhelmed, please check out the resources available through GMR Life – because taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of others. https://globalmedicalresponse.com/resources/gmr-medicine/gmr-life
As we tuned in to watch the NASCAR road race this weekend, we wanted to share some memorable moments from last week's NASCAR Cup Series race at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. AirMedCare Network and Fly-U-Home sponsored the 01 car of Corey LaJoie. Thank you Corey for being a great partner! Thank you also to our American Medical Response Safety Team, our GMR Therapy Dog Team (Bailey is always photo ready!) and other Global Medical Response leaders for joining us at the race!
