Vikas Maheshwary, our AVP Global HR Transformation delivered a talk on “Data Analytics in HR” for the Biocon Biologics R&D department’s Data Science Symposium 2024. This unique initiative, organized by our R&D department, invites internal and external experts to speak on a variety of subjects to help broaden their collective perspectives. It was attended by many participants both in-person and online, who were hungry for knowledge and had interesting questions, like: - “How does skills data impact compensation?” - “How do you validate a predictive analytics model?” - “What is the highest accuracy of a predictive model as per industry standards?” - “What are the predictive and prescriptive analytics use cases in HR?” The role of analytics in HR is pivotal in transforming the Human Resources function from a traditional, intuition-based practice to a data-driven, strategic element within an organization. It is essential for modern HR departments to optimize workforce management, generate actionable insights, and improve talent management performance. For a company anchored in science, you can imagine how exciting this journey is for us! Learn more about R&D at Biocon Biologics: https://lnkd.in/geR2CvMa
Maintaining a healthy mind is crucial for overall well-being, especially for men who often face societal pressures to keep their struggles hidden. Regular exercise, a balanced diet, and staying hydrated are key to mental fitness. Aim for 7-8 hours of quality sleep and manage stress with mindfulness, meditation, deep breathing, or yoga. Social connections with friends, family, and your community are vital. Take breaks from screens and social media to reduce digital fatigue. Incorporating these practices into your daily routine can foster a healthier mind and help break the stigma around men’s mental health. #RealMenFeelToo #MensMentalHealth #AwarenessMonth #HealthyMind #StayActive #DigitalDetox #SupportEachOther #MentalWellness

At Biocon Biologics, employee well-being is a core component of our people-focused goals. Ensuring safety is essential in our line of work. Consequently, personal safety and self-defense are key priorities within our DEI initiatives throughout the year. Internationally certified self-defense instructors from Sports, Physical Education, Fitness and Leisure Skills Council, a not-for-profit organization formed by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, India (MSDE), who teach the Indian Army, para-commandos, various ministries of the GOI and even anti-terrorist squads, conducted a self-defense workshop for our people. They created several real-world scenarios including but not limited to sexual assault, eve-teasing, snatching, mugging, domestic violence, solo travel, streets, and parking lots, covering and teaching a range of topics in the sport, leaving all participants with renewed and reliable self-confidence, situational awareness, life-saving skills, endurance, and a fighting-fit attitude. #BioconBiologics #LifeatBBL
