Participants in CDM Smith’s Employee Wellness Program made three donations possible as part of the firm’s award-winning Wellness Program. CDM Smith gave $25,000 to Foster Love, $20,000 to Maui Food Bank, and $5,000 to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. These organizations are working to make the world a better place by strengthening the foster care and healthcare systems and reducing hunger in Hawaii. As an organization that supports and emphasizes the importance of well-being, the firm is proud to support each of their missions to help those in need.
CDM Smith is excited to welcome Glenn N. Iosue, PE, BCEE, who joins CDM Smith as an environmental services business leader. Iosue is an expert in soil and groundwater remediation. His versatile expertise includes both in situ and ex situ remediation, chemical oxidation and reduction, bioremediation and other innovative approaches to remediate challenging sites. He has successfully remediated sites with petroleum impacts, CVOCs, emerging contaminants such as PFAS and other contaminants of concern. Iosue has 27 years of environmental experience in helping clients on hundreds of impaired sites from small to large-scale multi-million-dollar projects, and has developed effective technical solutions for Fortune 500 companies, industrial and commercial facilities and government agencies. In his new role, Iosue will position CDM Smith to win remediation work and contribute significantly to our firm’s strategic environmental pursuits.

CDM Smith is delighted to announce that Dr. Leonel Almanzar, PE, BCEE, SECB, DBIA has rejoined the firm as Design-Build (DB) Development Director in the North America Unit. He has 25 years of experience and expertise in designing water and wastewater treatment plants and associated infrastructure.
The Houston Waterworks Team (HWT), a joint venture of CDM Smith and Jacobs, successfully completed Phase 1 of the $1.8 billion Northeast Water Purification Plant (NEWPP) Expansion Project for the city of Houston in December 2023. In addition to this design phase achievement, the JV reached a milestone of over 8.3 million hours safely worked. Our firm’s commitment to on-schedule delivery as well as our devotion to safety both shine in reaching these extraordinary milestones in a massive team effort.
The City of Columbia, South Carolina reselected CDM Smith to continue program management of the Clean Water 2020 (CW2020) Program. With the contract, CDM Smith will serve the client until at least 2030 to carry out the largest, most complex utility initiative in the state of South Carolina.
Jack Polce, PE, joins CDM Smith as a principal and senior client service leader in our Industrial Business Unit, and is based out of the Wayne, Pennsylvania office. With over two decades of experience in developing, performing and managing water, wastewater and environmental projects within the industrial sector, he brings to the firm his expertise in sales, delivery and client development for commercial and industrial clients with a focus on industrial water.
