Fidelis Care presented a rural health grant to the Genesee Orleans Ministry of Concern (GOMOC), a community organization dedicated to providing emergency services for those in need and helping people get back on their feet. GOMOC plans to use this grant to supply school districts in Genesee and Orleans counties with hygiene and nonperishable food to help children and families.

Fidelis Care awarded a rural health grant to Restoration Society, Inc. (RSI) in Batavia, a peer-led organization that focuses on mental health recovery for those in Western New York. RSI plans to use the grant to offer digital skills training, helping participants connect with telehealth services and navigate essential healthcare resources. This will include guidance on community transportation options to ensure they can access jobs, medical appointments, and other critical services.
In observance of Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, Fidelis Care would like to recognize Dr. Li Lu, a physician with Rendr Group. Dr. Lu has worked in New York City for nearly two decades, becoming a leader in balanced and organized healthcare for her community. Fidelis Care was proud to participate in the New York Urban League 3rd Annual Women’s Bodies & Black Maternal Health event, an essential forum addressing the challenges and disparities faced by Black birthing parents. The event fostered powerful solutions-driven conversations on reducing bias in maternal healthcare. Thank you to all those who attended!
Fidelis Care recently partnered with URBAN HEALTH PLAN, INC. for a vaccination event providing flu and COVID-19 immunizations. Over 100 people attended the event, many received vaccinations, and all received important health education and resources about preventive care services.

Fidelis Care teamed up with Literacy in Community to host a Diversity Through Literacy event in Jamaica, Queens, featuring author Javaka Steptoe reading his book “Sweet, Sweet Baby!” to kids in attendance.
