Lookers Land Rover: Duke’s Challenge On Friday 6th June Lookers Land Rover was honoured to be part of the Duke's Challenge - raising over £650,000 for the important research carried out by The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) - the UK's leading independent wildlife research charity, providing a fleet of Land Rover vehicles to help the day run seamlessly. Celebrating the Next Generation of Leaders at Lookers At Lookers, we believe investing in people means investing in the future. That’s why we recently celebrated over 30 colleagues who completed one of our Leadership Development Programmes. Developed by our Head of L&D, Daniel Bishop, and delivered in partnership with Corndel, these programmes offer professional qualifications and Chartered Management Institute (CMI) accreditations to support aspiring and current leaders. After the success of our first cohort, we were proud to expand the opportunity again this year. At a special event organised by our Early Careers Manager, Carly Fielding (CIPD), each graduate received a personalised trophy and was recognised for their commitment and growth. Members of our Executive Committee — Alex Smith (Chair), James Brearley (MD), and Chris Whitaker (Chief People & Administration Officer) — joined us to share their congratulations. As Alex Smith put it: “People investment is so fundamentally important to our business… I can’t wait to see what they achieve in their careers.” This celebration wasn’t just about qualifications — it was about recognising the talent and passion shaping the future of Lookers.
