“Giving up is not an option.” Angelica Ouk was just 29 and recently finished breastfeeding her second child when she noticed a change in her breast. What started as a discoloration led to imaging, biopsies — and a diagnosis: triple negative breast cancer. With two young boys at home, she chose to fight — and she’s doing it with strength, grace, and the full support of her Mount Carmel Grove City care team.

On National Donor Remembrance Day, April 30, we proudly dedicated the Wall of Heroes at Mount Carmel East. This beautiful tribute honors the selfless individuals who have given the gift of organ, tissue, or sight donation, transforming lives and embodying the spirit of generosity. Each bird on this wall represents a Hero or Hero in Spirit, reminding us of the profound impact of their decision to give life to others. In partnership with Lifeline of Ohio and the Central Ohio Eye Bank, we celebrate these heroes and their legacy.
