The Georgia Hospital Association presented Shepherd Center with a Circle of Excellence award, an honor given to hospitals and health systems that have demonstrated a sustained commitment to quality and patient safety as evidenced by not only winning a patient safety award this year, but by earning three or more GHA Patient Safety and Quality Awards within the previous five years.
Last month, Shepherd Center joined partner organizations at the Georgia State Capitol for Awareness Day, advocating for employment opportunities and support services for Georgians with disabilities. Led by the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency, the event connected state leaders and the public with resources that help people with disabilities prepare for, return to, or remain in the workforce. For our team, this effort reflects a core part of our mission: helping individuals rebuild independence and pursue meaningful lives after injury or illness. By raising awareness of vocational rehabilitation services and collaborating with community partners, we are proud to support pathways that empower people to thrive—at work and beyond.
