Dispose with Dignity's big wins. We're over the moon to announce that we won TWO awards at last night's hashtag#CIPRexcel Awards! Our Dispose with Dignity whitepaper won Best Publication, and our Dispose with Dignity campaign with Prostate Cancer UK took home the award for Corporate and Business Communications Campaign. It was a fab night, made even more special by having Jonathon, the face of our campaign, with us to celebrate this incredible success. A special thanks to 'Cause too, for all their hard work in supporting us and this campaign. A huge well done to all the other winners last night – your campaigns are creating amazing impact!

Race to the EUROs in support of men with incontinence this Men’s Health Week. There are 24 countries competing in the UEFA EUROS 2024 - starting with the most northern which is Scotland, all the way down to Turkey. We will pass through Spain, Germany, Italy and many more. The distance is around 10,000 miles, so in support of our partnership with Prostate Cancer UK we’re asking our colleagues to run, walk, cycle, or do any other kind of activity to help us reach this distance! Every time we complete these miles, phs will make a £500 donation to the cause. Our award-winning Dispose with Dignity campaign in partnership with Prostate Cancer UK helps men live well. Our goal is to provide men with the safe spaces they deserve in washrooms and behind the cubicle door and raise vital funds to help with research.
We’re pleased to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for two awards at this year’s Communicate magazine #ICEAwards. We're honoured to be in the running for Best Use of Storytelling and Best Internal Communications in the property, construction, and facilities management sector. Huge congrats to all the finalists - let's continue to elevate the standards and push boundaries together! Well done Amy and Morgan!
phs reaping the apprenticeship rewards. It's no secret that we've fostered a workplace culture prioritising continuous learning and the development of our colleagues. We employ 3,000 people nationwide, of which are 130 apprentices, and over the past five years have employed 256 apprentices in total. Last week, our HR Director, Mike, and Marketing Director, Brett, engaged in a discussion with Andrew RT Davies, leader of the Conservative party in Wales, emphasising the significance of apprenticeships. Given recent news of cuts to apprenticeship funding by the Welsh Government, they underscored the crucial need to maintain focus on this topic.
Sub-zero temperatures won’t stop us from supporting a good cause. Despite the cold and darkness of January, our incredible colleagues have shown true dedication and spirit in the ‘Run the Month’ challenge for Prostate Cancer UK. Running a marathon distance of 26.2 miles throughout January might sound daunting, especially at the height of winter, but our team didn’t just participate; they smashed it! We also hosted a virtual phs Got Talent internal showcase, where we asked colleagues to share their amazing talents. From choir singing and creating stunning paintings, to showcasing remarkable weightlifting feats, every entry contributed to the Prostate Cancer UK fundraising initiative. While we always recognise our colleagues’ talents, this event revealed some extraordinary and unexpected skills that they don’t typically use in their everyday roles. We’re incredibly proud of our team for braving the weather, showcasing their talents and for embodying core phs values of teamwork and integrity. It goes beyond fundraising, it’s about standing shoulder to shoulder with those affected by prostate cancer, raising awareness, and supporting the vital work of Prostate Cancer UK. phs is stepping up to match fund the amount raised, doubling the impact, and raising a fantastic £3,405! Well done everyone involved, and thanks for your support.
