Current Employee – been working at Lockheed Martin full-time for more than 3 years

Pros – Get to work on some of the most amazing assemblies, including satellites and fighter jets.
Good work-life balance (depending on your work group). Flex-time.
Great leadership development programs (including generous tuition reimbursement) for early career employees.

Cons – Too much bureaucracy throughout company and industry.
Downturn in defense industry, with concerns of sequestration.

Advice to Senior Management – Speed up HR process for internal hires. Act quicker to send employees that are not hacking it (or a good fit) to different organizations or eliminate their job. Too many bad apples throughout the company can bring down the morale of organizations.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
