I worked at Target full-time for more than 8 years

ProsGood benefits, upward mobility *with a college degree*, lots of opportunity to work on strengths and weaknesses that can carry over to different employment

ConsWorkload too much at certain volume stores, must have college degree to be considered for key holder, promotions based on interview rather than performance, no work/life balance during the holidays (and getting worse) hourly pay starts at minimum wage or just above.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

I worked at Target as a contractor for less than a year


Pros: Team working environment. Offering some small perks around busy holidays only (black Friday/Xmas time frame) that may include higher… Cons: Challenging around the hectic busy days (black Friday/Xmas time frame) due to working with less Tm. members that have this type of experience around this… Advice to Senior Management: Perhaps add a "specialist" for the toys only section during the hectic busy days (black Friday/Xmas time frame) vice integrating them into Electronics… More

Pros: Extremely high expectations, not enough resources. GREAT company Cons: pay, work life balance or lack of. 50-60 hour weeks… Advice to Senior Management: do not expect the managers to be extra cashiers/flow/salesfloor stocks Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
