      Stay Away From Security

It operations manager, noc manager, soc manager
      Current employee
      Nashville, TN
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

The company has good benefits and the pay is good. Great work-life balance.

      Cons

Stay as far away from the Security dept as possible! Senior leadership shows favoritism towards their favorites and will not support you when you need it. If you need help with anything they will leave you on an island to fend for yourself and will take the credit from the higher ups on your hard work. The HR dept will back them up if you say anything about it also. STAY AWAY from Security if you want to like your job.

      Pros

The pay is great with bonus opportunities and commissions. The coworkers i had were fun and great to talk to. Benefits were great too.

      Cons

There were SO many cons but I am only going to hone in on a few. 1.) I was hired under the pretense this was a customer service job that happened to have some sales. I was asked if I was comfortable with having some sales duties, I was honest and said yes as long as that’s not the bulk of my role because I didn’t want a job that lack of sales equals not producing and is a job security risk. I was assured no, it wasn’t sales oriented. That was a big fat lie. It quickly became clear ALL they cared about was sales. The amount of people who called in and were angry at me selling something when they have an issue that they need fixing? Ridiculous. They want you to turn a 5 minute fix into a 30 minute phone call so you can gather devices to sell them a home device protection plan. So then you have a customer angry bout their phone/watch/tablet not working, and you’re sitting there chit chatting and obviously asking questions to sell them on something at the end, and they can tell, and they get more upset when they’re busy and want it to be fast. But if you do finish quickly, it “raises a red flag,” your coach listens to the call, and nit picks every single thing. 2.) The majority of coaches arent bad, but some are just absolutely awful. Had a death in the family and applied for bereavement. Got terminated the day after my bereavement. Asked if i was still getting my bereavement pay and she said “no” so i called HR and explained and THEY had to ensure I got my bereavement pay because legally i was entitled to it. My coach also had a notebook and she timed your bathroom breaks. If you had to go to the opposite end of the building it would easily be 7 minutes and shed lecture you about it. My coach was Donna, and while at times she was great, she micromanaged to the point EVERYONE had a negative thing to say about her. Micromanaging=burnt out employees. Hopefully that is something that gets taught to future leaders at this company. 3.) I had great survey reviews but low sales. I applied for CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE not SALES ASSOCIATE. My surveys should have been the backbone of my performance stats but only thing that mattered was “how can we get more sales from her?” 4.) The hours. They told me it would be 11-7 during training, then I could apply for morning(I am a single mother). But nope. Instead I got put on a 1-9:30/1:30-10 shift. So I literally never saw my kid and I repeatedly asked about it and got told I couldn’t apply for morning shift until 7 months AFTER I started (training was 4 weeks). Wasn’t what I signed on for and because I spoke up about what I was told, I was told “you’ve had x amount of time to get on board with it” but literally I was just trying to uphold their end of the contract I signed. I started looking elsewhere as soon as I saw they were not gonna uphold their end but still, that was disrespectful.
