Pros
Nice new building and barista. That’s it though. I worked at red interactive and the teams you work with day to day are amazing and make life worth it Dependent on the subsidiary you work for, being able to go to sports events and sponsorship events is really cool The pay is alright, you get no bonus or commission and the workload is awful Autonomy over your workload is great but it’s hard to manage
Cons
Staff turnover is high because of the toxic overworking culture. Revenue and profit driven, and if a market is crumbling, somehow the AMs get the blame for poor performance out of their control No diversity at the top. Same management for years who are all power hungry and disorganised. There’s no clear route to success, what success is and how we can achieve it. Favourtism is heavily at play especially where senior management get away with so much. You wont be invited to events, you wont get chances to go abroad and your clients will be skipped to push the bigger names. Always. It’s likely you will be fired for any reason and this is simply normal practice for them to re-hire and replace you with someone else who will go through the same thing. Particularly at red interactive, seniors push their standards and pressure onto AMs and don’t prioritise up skilling or pushing them into further learning and training. There is no support to manage clients, workload or to collaborate. Management only care about themselves, anyone at a account manager level and not a director or team lead level are treated as disposable There were no opportunities to increase your learning or skills within this role or at Betway. And even if the resources are given, you’re not allocated or allowed any time to learn during working hours. No promotion opportunities or progression path, there are people who have been in the same AM role for 5+ years with no promotion and no salary increase and no they aren’t satisfied. The workload just keeps climbing and you are expected to find a way rather than receive support and help Don’t expect a promotion. This is not the company you will be able to grow your career with, you will be stagnant and doing the same work for years. You’ll be in the office four days a week, and they want this to be five from October/November. Corporate environment and it’s very cutthroat. They don’t care to keep you or improve your skills. It’s hard to feel secure in your role.
