What are sales commissions like at FedEx?

      FedEx reviews

      Hit or miss

      Event solutions consultant
      Former employee

      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Health benefits are fantastic. Low monthly deductible for me and my three kids with good coverage. Fairly generous PTO plan. Ease of use depends on manager and role.

      Cons

Pay is low for the work required and the expectations of managers. If in a direct sales role such as ESC, you receive no commission only a bonus that relies on your coworkers and their locations to meet their goals as well. You could be at 120% of your plan, but if your coworker is only at 70% of their plan, you lose out on your bonus. Management can be awful. I worked from a store consultant to lead consultant to assistant manager finally to ESC. Overall experience completely depends on direct manager and their boss. Some managers were helpful and encouraging while others made demands while sitting in their office not lifting a finger. Constantly changing expectations that were often not clearly defined or explained to the employee. When asked for clarification on expectations, not much would come from management and above, but they were always quick to let you know when you weren't meeting their poorly defined expectations. Management plays favorites and often doesn't try to hide it. You'll get chewed out for a simple error, but another employee making the same mistake will have it ignored as if it doesn't matter. Difficult to move up once you hit a certain level.
