      the only good thing is that our location was grandfathered into staying as Working From Home when other locations were going back to work

      salary is far below industry standard with no bonuses and no other real perks, no Christmas presents or any real incentives; FedEx treats their customs brokerage employees like robots or numbers on a spreadsheet

      No fixed scheduled, always ‘on-call’ after leaving work, accrued PTO, no time off between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

      Pros

      Good consistency in pay, caring bosses, solid yearly raises, consistent/regular routes, not a lot of floating between routes after gaining minimal seniority. I was given a route to myself after only 5 months of work, even before then I was usually given that route with minimal floating to other routes for the day. I have loved working here. So much consistency and you are just basically driving all day, bringing cool people their packages (my route is a mix between in town and countryside). I highly recommend this company through a contractor, working for FedEx corporate/Express has mixed reviews. Not much micromanaging at all from my contractor.

      Contracts between third-party and FedEx corporate are not always great or reasonable financially leading to occasional and temporary surprise increases in workload due to contracts with companies like Walmart, Costco, Amazon without much increase in base pay as a result, although contractors do compensate their drivers out of their profits. It would be nice if they received more from the third-parties as a result. The trucks take a beating but they do pretty well with what we give them, they still stay comfortably drivable and contractors are always ready to repair them. Sometimes the trucks struggle with A/C, not critically but still not always crispy and not extremely comfortable in mid-western heat.

      Daily salary Unlimited phone calls even at 2am Expected to do everything even paint bosses fence at his house Hire, fire, train, certify, coach, grunt work, purchase, continuing education req, be a handy man, cater breakfast, be a mechanic, answer 500 calls a day 24/7/365, listen to everyone complain constantly while you work twice as hard as they do, work non stop 6 days a week at Christmas, zero family time, no bonus, no raise unless you beg first then threatened to quit. I could go on but you get the idea. NO BENEFITS AT ALL!!!

      Company has terrible equipment, low bar for management, only a 2% raise each year, and hardly ever offers full-time positions.

      We were WFH for the last 4 years, but thats ending. My direct manager is a joy, and despite remote work, my team works really well together and supports each other

      Cons

      Health benefits are poor. Raises are not merit based, and dont match cost of living increases. Overtime can be mandatory and fedex isnt hiring enough workers to replace retirees and those who leave. The stress can be overwhelming to meet standards with little support from Corporate. They are integrating into “one ecr” and all remote workers are returning to office. The commute/gas money will negate the raise this year, which was already negated by health cost increases. Definitely keeping an eye out for a new opportunity after ten years in my chair here.

      Pros

      Relaxed work culture. Most of the employee is an old timer means that people rarely leave the company. Bonus and performance incentives all year round

      Cons

      Its a 24/7 business, rarely get to enjoy public holidays like the rest of the country. Be it Eid, Christmas or whatever

      Pros

      Easy to be a high achiever/leader. Too many teams are full of older developers who just coast by. If you give any effort you'll standout. It's also almost impossible to get fired even if you just do the bare minimum.

      Cons

      No stock is given to employees despite being a consistent Fortune 50 company which is insane. You also don't get a bonus. I've worked here for 10 years and gotten a bonus 3 years because the company doesn't set that money aside each year. So your only motivation as an employee is to not get fired which as I stated above is almost impossible.

      The company gives up to 3% raise a year, but could be as low as one percent

      Cons

      Growth as often not very easy to achieve in this company unless you know somebody in a certain department that you were looking to go into. It’s more about who you know than what you know.
