From the onboarding process to the formal integration, I find GEHC is well above my expectations in regards of resources and efficiency. My interactions with my people leader and other members of the team were excellent. Despite being a neophyte in the private corporate world, my first impression was nothing but positive with the upmost feeling of being part of a company that can fully nourish my eagerness to grow and fulfill my desire to create change within the health system.

On the other hand, like it any large organisation, the human resources aspect of the integration is somewhat overwhelming. It is at time complicated to be directed towards the proper party to resolve an issue or to have a follow up on certain aspects. Nonetheless, I have to admit that my people leader is always available to help and often is the person who corrects the situation.

Easy application process, excellent communication from recruitment officer, HR and People Leader. Onboarding is on-going during week 1 but plenty of time allocated to navigate the systems and complete training requirements.
Cons
References are not requested immediately upon job offer, which makes it unclear as to when to hand in notice from current employment. I received an employment contract with a start date to sign beforehand, which then had to be amended as processes had not progressed in time.
