How are flexible working hours at Klarna?

Flexible hours, relatively good pay for the position that it is, lots of AI automations so you are doing very little unnecessary work.

No feedback to ways of working is given from managers but it's visible that you are being watched and measured by your stats only, they ask for honest feedback and what can be improved but largely turn down/ dismiss suggestions, micromanagement, intransparent communication around everything (long-term planning, short-term ad hoc decisions). Huge changes occur all the time without explanation with the expectation that this is just to be accepted. You are being told the bare minimum of what's necessary for you to know and no bit more than that. This leads to constant anxiety and constantly pending job insecurity. They really make you feel how replaceable you are to them. Zero small talk in meetings, no praise or "well done" ever just additional pressure on getting stats up, no feeling of project team belonging is fostered and they'd prefer for everyone to work with as little communication with others as somehow possible. By far the most human-unfriendly and horrific work culture I've ever experienced.

Work life balance is really great. Tech stack wise is really great, you're exposed to the latest libraries and latest ai models as well. Lots of exposure to projects with complex architecture so expect to improve your knowledge here. Teams are also from different parts of the world so very diverse and inclusive as well :)

Lower salaries compared to other swedish companies.

Corporate perks: free breakfast, flexible working hours, possibility work form home and work abroad. Engineers are smart and cool but everyone eventually want to leave. Good line in your CV. After you leave this company the life is so nice.

Understaffed, huge expectation with not enough compensation, they try to make people leave the company, a lot of people are burning out, you need to fight for promotion but compensation is poor.

Stressful since you never know if you’re gonna get laid off. Management isn’t the best. Pay could be better for everything you’re doing.

No opportunities for growing, the rise opportunities are only once per year, and the process is not transparent. They won't promote you if you haven't worked on a profitable project. they don't value your work they only care about the business. Every day, they are removing more benefits, and now you have to go to the office 3 times per week. Salaries are low compared with other enterprises
