      Pros

Awesome company, recent IPO, a lot of great benefits, competitive pay

      Cons

Lack of growth and/or promotions, people tend to stay in this role 3+ years.

      Pros

Above average salary; decent benefits; all remote; sexy company culture with cool offsites

      Cons

CEO is in over his head: too in-the-weeds and micromanaging yet out of touch with the current state of the product. Noone in leadership manages up to him (likely because he wouldn't listen anyway) and instead there's constant churn in the product dev side of the business because of the HiPPO. Tech itself is undifferentiated and beyond the inbound leads they enjoy thanks to earned media, their lunch is going to get eaten by bigger players that are wising up to the market opportunity of CTV for SMBs. Toxic culture that doesn't value employees, customers, or partnerships.

      Pros

      - Good pay - Offsites are fun but exhausting and people don’t know how to behave - I like my coworkers

      Cons

      - Leadership is very toxic, from the middle managers to the c suite. They only promote and hire leaders with similar mindsets which continues the toxicity. - No job security, they fire people with absolutely no warning and move on. They fired a great person on my team and moved on like it was nothing the next day. - Culture is very tech frat bro - Tech looks good from the outside but once you actually see the bones, it’s heavily lacking

      Pros

Remote first is the only pro. MNTN meets used to be good but now are tedious.

      Cons

Only corporate directive: IMPLEMENTING AI TO ELIMINATE PEOPLE! No job security as teams are eliminated regularly. New commission plan puts our earnings under market rate. Benefits are terrible and don't have good coverage. Employees being fired for needing paid family/medical leave. "unlimited PTO' but you can't really use it and guilt trip you if you try to use any time off.. so it is actually way worse than having actually having accrued PTO.

      Pros

Without a doubt, one of the best companies I have ever worked for. A few pros are as follows: Awesome Coworkers: The people here are incredible. Everyone is super supportive and friendly, making it a joy to come to work every day. The teamwork and camaraderie are top-notch. Fun Offsites: The offsite events are a blast! They pick amazing locations, and it’s seriously so much fun. I leave every trip with a huge smile on my face. Cool Culture: The company culture is awesome. It's all about innovation, creativity, and personal growth. Plus, they really emphasize work-life balance, which is refreshing. Good Pay: The pay here is really competitive and it shows. No Micromanaging: One of the best parts is the trust and autonomy we get. There’s no micromanagement – you’re trusted to do your job well, which makes you feel more responsible and motivated.

      Cons

Sometimes, career progression isn't the clearest. There can be some growing pains as the company expands and figures things out. But all in all, I love working at MNTN and would recommend it to everyone and anyone.

      Engineering-driven product management

      Senior product manager
      Current employee
      Austin, TX
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Remote first culture with some cool perks.

      Cons

They don't actually have product managers. Engineering (meaning, the CEO and CTO) drive everything. Engineering leadership is crass, cruel, and mean, while also lacking in baseline technical fundamentals for a scaling media platform. Salaries are below market by up to 50%. All their good talent is leaving for greener pastures.
