      Boston, MA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Training is intensive, you get a lot of cheap branded trinkets that you'll never use, they tend to hire for customer service so many coworkers are kind and helpful

      Cons

Low pay, lack of HR support when given real concerns, understaffed and overworked, nasty customers in city retail environment (horror stories), company kool-aid pushed down your throat, cycled through so many senior managers I couldn't keep track

      CSR okay

      Crs specialist
      Current employee

      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Stable Income & Benefits Regular paycheques, often with health insurance, paid vacation, sick days, and sometimes pensions or retirement plans. Structure & Predictability Clear job expectations, set hours, and routines provide stability and reduce the stress of decision-making around work. Career Growth Opportunities Training programs, promotions, mentorship, and skill development are often available within larger companies.

      Cons

Limited Control or Flexibility Fixed hours, little say in major decisions, and less freedom to work on your own terms. Office Politics or Toxic Culture Navigating internal politics, difficult managers, or negative work environments can impact mental health. Job Insecurity Even with stable income, layoffs, restructuring, or poor company performance can lead to sudden unemployment. Limited Creativity or Autonomy

      Unorganized

      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Decent opportunities for advancement if you are able to get them

      Cons

Lack of leadership, nobody has any experience, branch didn’t have a manager the entire time I worked there and there were no efforts to hire one, minimal training and new hires lack support/coaching

Great company, Great opportunity for career growth

      Bank teller
      Former employee
      Toronto, ON
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Great team, encourage learning and growing into more senior positions, lots of opportunities for career expansion and promotions.

      Cons

Sometimes difficult to cut through red-tape and rules at big company to give clients best service. Although TD does a great job making an effort to give you all the tools necessary, clients often get upset because of rules that you have no control over.

      Good Culture, Mediocre Growth Spurt

      Easy line specialist
      Current employee
      Vancouver, BC
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

RSP contribution matching, work/life balance for remote specialists, medical/dental/health spending account, "TD Appreciate" rewards points that can be exchanged for goods, online courses to gain new skills in your own time, mentorship, networking interest groups.

      Cons

Limited opportunities to transition to other departments.

Great work environment and smart colleagues

      Associate, cpm
      Current employee
      Toronto, ON
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

You'll get to be around smart, friendly colleagues from all departments. There are a lot of opportunities to learn about, and progress in different asset classes.

      Cons

I guess it would be the work desks. You don't get your own office which can be a plus for collaboration between teams, but can also be a hindrance to focus and productivity.
