Process was through diversity recruitment at a college that served a predominant # of non-white students. Process was high barrier, had to be the "cream of the crop"/personally referred by department head. Then about 2-3 rounds of interviewing including a phone call, in-person. Not included in this is the effort to stay high profile with the recruiters so going to events, travel, etc.
