As part of the interview process at 3di Innovation, I was given a case study designed to assess my research, analytical, and presentation skills. The case study focused on evaluating a technical communication challenge faced by a client in the software industry, with an emphasis on user experience, clarity of documentation, and process improvement.
I was required to:
Conduct independent research on the client's industry and competitors.
Identify potential documentation pain points and propose structured solutions.
Develop a concise report and presentation outlining my recommendations, supported by data and best practices in technical communication.

How would you approach improving the user experience of a product’s documentation for a non-technical audience?
A 2 stage process involving a video interview and 3 hour task. The assessment was made to represent the daily tasks that would be expected to be carried out in the position. No prior information or preparation was required for the task.
