I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at 7-Eleven (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2016
Interview
met with the manager in store, he seemed pretty cool but kept checking his watch over and over during the interview. Of course the store happened to be pretty busy during that time so we were constantly interrupted as he also stopped occasionally to help at the till when customers were lined up. But at least i knew what i was getting into as I saw the employees having to deal with a mad rush of people in real time.
If you are hired, the interviewer gets straight to the point and asks you if you have questions. Process starts after you do some computer work and boom.. you're in.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at 7-Eleven (Toronto, ON) in Sept 2021
Interview
A brief 20-minute interview focusing on past work experience, specifically inquiring about any previous roles in a retail store environment and manager was friendly and was explaining the duties, and what I would be asked to do in the store.
very fast and straightforward. I entered the establishment and was greeted by a kind but blunt manager. There weren't many questions asked, just the basics like relevant experience, availability, and desired pay rate.
