I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at 7-Eleven (Calabasas, CA) in Jan 2020
Interview
The interview consisted of typical basic interview questions that can be found online in common interview question lists. The interview lasted for a very short time. The interview was conducted over the phone with a store manager.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at 7-Eleven (Dallas, TX) in Dec 2025
Interview
It was good. They were polite and I felt comfortable. The person conducting the interview had plenty of questions but I thought it went very well. She was also very helpful in giving me information about the position and opportunity.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at 7-Eleven (Dallas, TX) in June 2023
Interview
Just pay for consulting rather than hounding successful Exec in so-called "recruiting". (Later found out that the HR person that kept calling me wasn't really HR). Finally gave in (always heard that 7/11 was a "Toxic Environment" from their External Partners, but agreed anyway. So called "interview" was nothing more than the person grilling me on "what EXACTLY would you do in X Market and which EXACT Merchants would you target to get to $1M ARR in 30 days"? Wrote down every target and waht the avgerage ROC would be. I knew then- they were simply too cheap to hire a real consultant and that this role likely didn't exist. Evensaid, "please reach out if you wish to discuss further". Then they ghosted...seriously- nada, zip- zero. Tha;s when I found out that the "Recruiter" was really an entry level ops person... My network was right- Toxic. Unethical really. Rude at the minumum
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"What exactly would you do in this market to het to $1M ARR in 30 days?" (The dude could not write fast enough as I laid out 3 specific merchants, why and what products to target to get to $1M). Smoke was flying from his pen.
