A contractor is fixing some equipment on the shop floor and you're not allowed to leave them, a customer comes up to you and asks for help finding an item. There are no other staff in the store, what do you do?

Maybe to ask the contractor to stop temporarily whilst you quickly help the customer find the item and then return to the contractor whereby they can then resume. I assume the contractor only needs supervision whilst actually performing duties.
