Showed up on site. Met with main hiring manager. He was great. Role was described much better as the recruiter had it described. However other manager seemed pompous and appeared to be fluffing his feathers. After I got the job, I found the actual empowerment I had as a PM was nearly non-existent. As I called out risks I was actually told by the pompous manager that it was not my concern and not to worry about risks. really? I am the PM. This is my project and your telling me you have it handled and not to worry about the risks I identified. I guess because it was making him look bad for not mitigating it.
