I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Aircraft Research Association in Mar 2020
Interview
I have always had interest in working for this company. However, after this phone call was left disappointed.
I had an initial stage phone interview with someone in the company. I was asked questions about my previous experiences and they seemed rather apathetic. Within 2-3 minutes this person came to the abrupt conclusion and kept telling me "my heart isn't in the role". I couldn't get a word in at this point and they put the phone down. I was a bit shocked after spending time doing the usual interview preparation to get such a short discussion and a rude attitude.
Not sure why this person organised an interview in the first place. If they had ended the call after talking about my experiences and I had received an email saying I wasn't the right candidate, I would take that as standard practice.
A few days later a different recruiter seeking candidates for the same role told me people he had put forward also had a bad experience.
I wonder how much good talent is going elsewhere because of this recruitment process.
