I went through the initial recruiter screening and subsequently interviewed with the hiring manager. At the end of the discussion, the hiring manager informed me that she was keen to move me forward to the next stage of the process and would have the recruiter reach out to prepare me for the next interview.
However, after a day of silence with no update, I sent a follow-up email to the recruiter to check on the next steps. Unfortunately, I did not receive any response to my email or any further communication regarding my application status.
While I understand that hiring priorities and decisions can change, I believe candidates deserve timely communication, especially when there has been a clear indication that they will be progressing to the next interview stage. Both the company and the candidate invest time in the recruitment process, and a simple update would have been appreciated.
Overall, this was a disappointing candidate experience due to the lack of follow-up and communication. The complete absence of any response after a positive interview discussion reflected poorly on the company's recruitment process and candidate experience.
