I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Akamai (Santa Clara, CA) in Aug 2015
Interview
Firstly the technical recruiter called and asked about background and some basic technical questions. Next one was a phone round with hiring manager, two programming questions were asked and the questions were not difficult. There was no restriction on the programming language and I wrote the code in C++, Collabedit was used for writing the code. There was another phone round from a member of the same team, this was also a coding round, I was asked 3 programming questions and the questions were moderately tricky. I was not asked to write the complete code always, sometimes explaining logic or writing part of the code was sufficient. Within a week I got call for an onsite Interview.
The onsite interview was for half a day. The interview consisted of white board coding and questions on fundamentals of computer networking were asked. Overall the interview experience was very good and interviewers were friendly. I got offer letter in the next week. The key to crack the interview is to be confident in coding, networking concepts and should be able to thoroughly explain the projects on the resume. Even though computer networking questions were asked they were not many.
