      Project Manager Interview

      17 Dec 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Seattle, WA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Alaska Airlines (Seattle, WA) in Oct 2016

      Interview

This was one of the most unprofessional recruitment process I have experienced. A screening call was scheduled through email, to which the recruiter forgot to call in and I had to email her to remind her. She didn't apologize and just explained " the day slipped by". A call was rescheduled for the next day, to which she was 15 minutes late. Although I felt disrespected and aghast at the unprofessionalism, I was still very interested in the position so I agreed to move forward with an in person interview with the hiring manager. The interview went okay and the recruiter informed me that the following Wednesday I would be notified of my status. The Wednesday came and gone and I didn't hear anything. She responded to my inquiry the following day informing me that they want me to continue with the process and her assistant will call me on Monday to schedule a panel interview. Monday came and gone. I emailed requesting status and clarification. Two weeks went by with out a response. I had another interview to which I received an offer, but as I was still interested in the position I wanted to hear back before I move forward with other options. I finally received an email stating that they finished interviewing for the position and have decided to go in a different direction. I am astonished at the unprofessionalism. For me, the recruiter was the face of Alaska Air and my opinion of the airline has now dwindled. They are at a small business and amateur level in terms of their recruitment process.

      Product Manager Interview

      24 Oct 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Seattle, WA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Alaska Airlines (Seattle, WA) in Aug 2024

      Interview

Phone screen with recruiter that was not friendly at all, one zoom call w/ hiring manager, again not friendly, another one w/ skip manager who was ok, smart and interested in my experience, one in-person interview loop w/ cross functional team and again with hiring manager. Very old school company and the offices are a little depressing, next to SeaTac. The process was long and with no clear ending or # of interviews. The interview questions were pretty basic, not really into behavioral questions. It was loooong. It was like 3 months from begging to the end.

      Product Manager Interview

      28 Feb 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Alaska Airlines

      Interview

Only had one call (initial screening) where the interviewer told me he would focus on whether I was a good fit for the role, which he did. There was no mention of whether the job was a good fit for me or questions about what I was looking for in a job. I haven’t had this type of ‘one way’ interview in a very long time, probably since my first job out of college.

      Project Manager I Interview

      27 Oct 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Seattle, WA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Alaska Airlines (Seattle, WA) in June 2017

      Interview

The interview process is very relational. The interviews are more about culture fit than anything. Technical skills are important, but at the more entry level positions they believe they can train the desired skills, but can't train to fit the culture.
