I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Alaska Airlines in Jan 2015
Interview
I applied online and the whole process took about six weeks. I received an email explaining that I would receive a phone call in the next few days in which I did. I received the phone call and they simply asked if I was still interested in the position and if yes to come to an interview at the Hampton Inn. I arrived the day of the interview and there were about 65 people. We watched a short movie on the role and a slide show about the company. They then told us about the pay and benefits. They then broke us up into two groups and moved us into two meeting rooms where we answered questions and did a group activity, very elementary. After five hours of this, they narrowed the group down to 12 people and did face to face interviews. Mine was with a recruiter and the station manager. They asked more questions and then said they would email us in a week. I received a call later that evening and asked if I was still interested in the job and I said yes, where I was invited to Seattle to fill out all the job paperwork. I asked the recruiter how many people were hired and he said that I was and one other person, which was confirmed because we flew to Seattle and trained together.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Lets see if I can remember:
1. Tell me about a time when you had a challenging customer.
2. Tell me about a time you had a conflict with an employee?
3. What does integrity mean to you?
4. Tell me a time when you regretted how you interacted with a customer.
Then they gave me a scenario:
A family of five show up late to the ticket counter and its passed the 45 minute cut off for their flight and there are no other flights that day. Explain to them they have missed their flight while their kids are crying and the parents are angry with you and trying to get you to let them get their boarding passes so they can try to run to the boarding gates so they can get their family to Disneyland.
Good Luck!
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Alaska Airlines (Seattle, WA) in July 2019
Interview
The interview process is very welcoming and light. You can tell they want people to be comfortable and be themselves. It's a long process but they make it fun and I personally enjoyed it.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Alaska Airlines (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2018
Interview
Easy Process; Group activity then two individual one on one interviews. Glassdoor was extremely helpful in preparing for the interview process. They asked the very same questions as you see online. I have no idea what they are looking for however because they do not give feedback.

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Alaska Airlines (Phoenix, AZ) in Dec 2017
Interview
Filled out resume online was asked to do a video interview and then got an email to do a phone interview went through the phone interview and was asked why I left my previous employer was given the job pay scale and training information. Was then told the hiring manager would look at my file and decide if I would move to the in face interview that was happening next week. It looks like since I didn’t get an invitation to the end face interview they are not interested but we will see she said I would hear from her in the next day or two.
