I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon Web Services (Mumbai) in Feb 2022
Interview
The interview process is comprehensive and well structured.
The phone screen round is where the interviewer understands more about your interest, movitation in the role, about your existing experience and functional fitment to the role.
The 5 rounds that follow (known as loops) are detailed conversations with different individuals which test you on the various Amazon leadership principles. Candidates are expected to answer in STAR format and provide data points.
Interviewers sought data driven results, and don’t prefer long verbose answers.
Overall, the interviewers are soft spoken, empathetic and doesn’t go into ‘grilling and putting the candidate under pressure’ . They definitely aim at hiring the best of the breed sellers and account managers.
Process can be a bit long but it is very scientific, not biased I felt.

How would you plan to manage this territory or patch if given the role.
It was strange. Questions were unproffesional and not related to position.
Hire manager didn't ask related questions. The questions were about leadership principles. I didnt understand why didnt ask challenge questions.
