I applied online. I interviewed at Amel Group (Mississauga, ON) in July 2016
Interview
The interview was very bad as I was discriminated, harassed and humiliated by the interviewers including the CEO, as the following examples demonstrate the harassment and discrimination I endured:
· During our first interview I was asked about my graduation date - age discrimination?
· Was requested to email a picture before the interview - this is against the law unless a bona fide occupational requirement.
· They criticized the ESA (Employment Standards Act) managed by the Ministry of Labour, for requiring a maximum number of working hours. they made fun of this law which protects employers and employees, ans stated that you make "people work like crazy" and that
they do not care about their personal lives or demands!!!!
Overall it was very bad experience and very bad employer to work for.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amel Group (Mississauga, ON) in Apr 2015
Interview
I met with an HR rep at a job fair, submitted a resume, and was called for an interview about a week later. On the interview day, I met one-on-one with the head of HR at Amel Group. He said there would be 3 interviews if I made it through the whole process. I presented the experiences outlined in my resume. The interview focussed on if I would be a good fit with the company and there were only one or two technical questions - one of which was coding. I was a bit rusty in my C so I submitted pseudo-code. Unfortunately, I didn't move on in the process.
