I applied online. The process took 9 months. I interviewed at American Airlines (San Diego, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
I am currently going waiting to attend my face to face interview after completion of the video interview submission. The video interview is quite awkward. . . it's like face-timing but no one else ever pops up on the other side. They ask you 5 questions. With each questions they state it through audio but also have it written across the screen, you then have 1 minute to think of your answer and 3 minutes to answer the questions. As hard as it is stay focused on the camera lens so you aren't looking at yourself, talk slowly, and keep a smile on your face. At the end of each questions I said "thank you." I found all the questions I was asked on glass door and they were not complex. I think the most important part about this stage of the interview is staying calm and composed which is hard to do unless you are used to sitting in front of a camera. I recommend practicing over and over until the answers are almost memorized that way when the time comes even if you are nervous you still know the answer to the questions they are asking. I did not hear back from AA for almost 5 months but that is because they had saved my name incorrectly, luckily they were able to remedy the situation and I received an invitation to the face to face interview a week later. Just be patient the process took much longer then I thought it would. GOOD LUCK!
