I applied online. I interviewed at American Airlines (Fort Worth, TX) in May 2013
Interview
I applied for the job back in November 2013, I went through the personality screening and then the phone interview (automated). I got the call for the F2F interview in Dallas/Fort Worth in May 2013. Great friendly group of people; I was in the afternoon session. The 32 or so of us went into a room and before we turned in our passports to begin the background screening process we were asked to answer a question in essay format. Question: "If you were on an international flight from NYC to Tokyo, Japan if you could pick who you sat next to who would it be and why"? Afterwards there was a group activity, we had to work together to find out what we had in common and something unique about one another. After a short break we a recruiter came in and called us out in groups or 5 or 6. We went into a different room and were asked interview questions. Q1: Tell us about yourself? Q2: Tell us about something you've done to give back to the community? Q3: Tell us something you learned about one of the other applicants while you were in this room? Q4: Tell us about a time you implemented change w/in an organization why did you feel it was necessary? Then we all met again, they gave info on the company, gave us a "day in the life of a flight attendant." That was the end. Called us out one by one and sent us back to the airport to go home. I was told I'd be notified of their decision in two weeks. I'm actually on the flight home writing this.
