I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at American Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Feb 2014
Interview
Completed application October 2013. About 2 weeks later received invitation to complete the video interview. About 2 months later received email to update my application online. A week later received email to contact AA to schedule face to face interview. Face to Face interview was on Feb. 4, 2014. I flew into DFW and arrived early around 9am. Interview began at 1:30. We were given a writing assignment as they completed check in process. After the check in process was completed, we were taken into a large room where we sat in groups of 5. We watched a very short video about AA and then we began a group exercise called Who-is-Who. After group exercise was completed and presented recruiters came in and called 5 people at a time for the small group interview. We were asked a series of questions and were taken back to the large classroom where all the candidates awaited. We then went through a session regarding specifics about pay and training while the recruiters deliberated. They then called everyone 1 at a time based on flight times and were taken to the bus to DFW. They have advised that we will hear back in about 2 weeks or so and they made it clear that no one will know the day of F2F if they have been hired. I do not believe this because I heard of at least 1 of the candidates that was fingerprinted.
