I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at American Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Sept 2015
Interview
The interview process is already on here 1000x so you have no excuse not to be prepared if you've been doing your glassdoor research haha. You go in and sit in groups of 5-6 and be sure to spark up a conversation because from the minute you walk in it seems like all eyes are on you. You know how sometimes people stare and when you catch them they look away? Well AA recruiters are bold and they will keep staring you right down until you look away no joke! But don't be scared they were all very nice and a few were really funny. Anyway you do your group activity then they call you out in groups of about 6 and you have a group interview with 2 Current FAs. This process is a very short one. They may have asked only 3 questions a piece so don't blow it. They have everyone breathe and relax after every question so don't be nervous. Then you go back to the room watch a video on benefits and what not. After that they do one more q&a and then start weeding people out. Depending on how you did you may be escorted to another room for fingerprinting or to the lobby to go back to the airport. After fingerprinting you do one more one on one and then I go to meet your new fa buddies if you do well. Good luck! The whole process is very tricky because they do t want you to know you've got the job so they do a lot of tricky things to keep you on your toes. STAY ALERT and don't assume just because you're getting fingerprinted that you've got the job because there were people that got fingerprinted but didn't make it to the room where they finally told us we've got the job at the very end. After they tell you you fill out a packet full of various info then hug and leave. Yes the recruiters hug and congratulate you.
