      Flight Attendant Interview

      25 Feb 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Dallas, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 7 months. I interviewed at American Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Apr 2013

      Interview

It was a great experience, except when I was re hired in 2013 there were no Video Interviews there were phone Interviews before the invitation to Dallas for the assessment day. I was hired 3 years ago and I am happy as ever. I would like to enlighten many of you on here though. The interview process is not easy. If you think your going to walk up in there and put on a phony face for the day or have an ego pumping... Its not going to happen. They will see right through you. It is very important for you to dress the part. Look as much as you can like an AA flight attendant. Do your research all about the airline, this will help you. Do not sit in the corner and be shy or quiet, you absolutely MUST interact with EVERYONE you are coming in contact with. From the time you check in for your flight that morning you are being watched by EVERYONE. You must consistently hold your composure and positive attitude or your not going to get the job. If you walk in with the attitude that your owed the job because of this or that... Its not going to happen. You have to understand something else too... Even if you get an offer to ATTEND TRAINING and have cleared all medical and background checks... Your still not hired... You will then begin the 7 weeks of training (One Long Interview) You will be constantly watched, judged, and scrutinized for your appearance, attitude, how you interact with and treat others, etc. You must be friends with EVERYONE in your class not just a group. You will be forced to work with Flight Attendants from all walks of life which I find very exciting! You MUST put everything into this training and not go out partying, getting in trouble, etc. You CAN NOT be late. EVER. You will be sent home. It is a very intense time of your life and yes you will miss home and family and friends. BUT... You have to get through it, this was given to you but you MUST pass to become a flight attendant! If your the type of person that will turn others in an effort to make yourself look better or move up in the company. You wont be around long. Seniority is Seniority. Period. Nothing you do will change your seniority number. I hope this helps. Please reasearch Flight Attendant Interview tips on Google, Youtube, etc there are many out there to help you prepare for the interview. Its not an easy job to get. You WILL have to work, study, and on minimum rest. But the day you get your wings pinned on you will be happy IF this job is for you. And just remember even after graduation you still have a continuing interview of 6 months you must make it through. If it was easy everyone would do it! Hope this helps! I LOVE MY JOB!!!! I hope you will too!!!!
