I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at American Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2016
Interview
I applied for the Trainee Flight Attendant, TBH I have no idea what's the difference between this and just Flight Attendant.. I applied 3/13 & got a call 3/15. She left me a voicemail to watch the video ASAP in order to move on with the application. I've done one of these video interviews for Delta and it completely messed me up so I had a better understanding of what was about to happen this time around.
I dressed the part the same day she called and wanted to use my laptop for the video interview but sound & imaging was off & then decided to try my phone before proceeding to the last resort - phone. Phone quality was even worse(I have a 6S+ too so I know it wasn't my phone). Ended up doing the phone interview, which was the best option ever. There's a couple pre-recorded questions, don't worry, he repeats them twice. You start recording after every beep. The questions are listed on the other interviews so I won't bother repeating them.
I thought I messed it up so bad but I ended up getting a call 2 days later regarding my video interview & she told me I passed and I'm scheduled for a F2F interview 3/31. I was told they would fly me out, same day if possible courtesy of AA but if I have to fly out a day before or after, I would be in charge of hotel room fees.. If you get a f2f interview, you should get a call 3 days prior regarding your flight itinerary.
Will update after the interview. I'm FREAKED.
